Mastering the implementation and management of a Green IT program

Green IT issues are of growing concern for the environmental, social and economic impact in the 21st century. The almost-universal adoption of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) is leaving a significant carbon footprint and is a source of toxic waste. This two-day certified course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to evaluate the environmental impact of information technology and support an organization in implementing and managing a Green IT program. Based on practical exercises, the participant will develop the skills and competencies necessary to efficiently propose innovative solutions.

Educational approach

  • This training is based on both theory and practice:
    • Sessions of lectures illustrated with examples based on real cases
    • Practical exercises based on a full case study
    • Review exercises to assist the exam preparation
    • Practice test similar to the certification exam
  • To benefit from the practical exercises, the number of training participants is limited

Exam

  • The “Certified Green IT Professional” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). The exam covers the following competence domains:
    • Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of Green IT
    • Domain 2: Green IT best practice
    • Domain 3: Performance evaluation, monitoring and measurement of a Green IT program
  • The “Certified Green IT Professional” exam is available in different languages (the complete list of languages can be found in the examination application form)
  • Duration: one-hour 40 question multiple-choice exam

 Certification

  • A certificate of “Certified Green IT Professional” will be issued to participants who successfully pass the exam and comply with all the other requirements related to this credential

 General Information

  • Exam and certification fees are included in the training price
  • A student manual containing over 300 pages of information and practical examples will be distributed to participants
  • A participation certificate of 14 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued to participants
